Launch Checklist

Five Pages Beat Fifty

Five clean website page icons next to a large crossed-out number fifty

New businesses overthink websites in one direction and underthink them in another.

Overthought: pages. You don't need fifteen. You need five that work — Home (what you do, for whom, and one clear action), Services, About (people buy from people), Contact (a form that actually reaches you), and one page specific to your best customer.

Underthought: the invisible stuff. Roughly sixty percent of your visitors are on a phone — does the site load fast there? Does the contact form validate emails and block spam bots, or will you be digging real leads out of junk? Is there an SSL certificate, or does the browser warn every visitor that the site is “Not Secure”?

A DIY website-builder page can be perfectly fine to start. The pattern we see over and over: it works fine until the business grows, and then the limitations — SEO, speed, forms, ownership — all invoice you at once.

This is item 3 of 9 on our Business Launch Bundle checklist — a 5-page site, built properly, mobile-first, with a working form.
