Privacy Policy

How FourSight Technologies collects, uses and protects your personal information.

FourSight Technologies is a managed IT and cybersecurity company based in Toronto, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect through foursight.ca and our support helpdesk, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

01What we collect

  • When you contact us: your name, email address, company name if you give it, your message, and the page you sent it from.
  • When you ask for support: the emails, messages and attachments you send to our helpdesk or through our client portal.
  • Technical information: your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. We use this to block spam and abuse and to keep the website secure.
  • Website analytics: pages visited, approximate location (city or region), device type and how you found us, collected through Google Analytics using cookies.

02Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and book any call you ask for.
  • To provide, manage and support the services you buy from us.
  • To protect our website and forms from spam, fraud and attacks.
  • To understand which pages and services people find useful, so we can improve them.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

03Your consent

  • By sending us a message or a support request, you consent to us using your information for the purposes above.
  • We do not send marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them, as required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
  • You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The website works normally without them.
  • You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. This may limit how we can help you.

04Who we share it with

  • We never sell or rent your personal information.
  • We use trusted service providers who process information on our behalf: GoDaddy (website hosting and email), Cloudflare (website security and performance), Google Analytics (website statistics), Resend (delivery of contact-form emails) and Microsoft (business email).
  • These providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
  • We may disclose information where required by law, for example in response to a court order.

05How long we keep it

  • Contact-form records are deleted automatically after 12 months.
  • Support conversations are kept while you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can help with follow-up questions and meet our record-keeping obligations.
  • Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings, which we keep to the minimum we need.

06How we protect it

  • Our website and helpdesk use encrypted connections (HTTPS).
  • Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it, using unique accounts and two-step login.
  • Sensitive configuration files are locked down on our servers, and our systems are backed up and kept up to date.

07Your rights

  • You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it.
  • We will respond within 30 days.
  • If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

08Contact us

  • Our Privacy Officer is responsible for how we handle personal information.
